Crown & Anchor Mews Memorial 8k

The Crown & Anchor Mews Memorial is an annual 8k road race that runs from the Mundy Pond area to Quidi Vidi Lake, finishing at the Quidi Vidi Boathouse. The course is described as fast and is commonly used as a tune up for the Tely 10. The event takes place each June.

Every finisher will receive a Quidi Vidi branded finishers medal (first 500 finishers), along with a complimentary race day beverage valid during the reception.
The committee donates $5 per runner to a local charity. Watch for the announcement of the 2026 charity.
Break the course record and win $500! The current men's record is held by Colin Fewer, 23:49, and the women's record is held by Kate Bazeley, 26:07.
This is one of the oldest continuous road running races in the province, with more than 35 years of racing. The course is fast and runs from the Mundy Pond area to Quidi Vidi Lake. It is a popular event as a tune up to the Tely 10 each summer.
The race is named for Henry G.R. Mews, the mayor of St. John's from 1949 - 1965.
