About the race
Now in its 6th year, the Compton Verney Sprint Triathlon race will be based in the grounds of Park Farm within the Compton Verney hamlet. The swim takes place in the Capability Brown designed lake surrounded by beautiful trees, with transition overlooking the grassy bowl. Once the swim is done it is out onto the sprint bike course around the Warwickshire countryside. After the bike, competitors return to the venue to start the run around the scenic local area before finishing in style in parkland overlooking the lake.
This is a special race at a beautiful venue that is suitable for all abilities. Whether you are a newbie looking to dip your toe in the water, or a hardened racer wanting to go full-gas from the gun, this race is for you.

The Compton Verney sprint triathlon course
2026 sprint distance swim course
Start with a beginner friendly 750m swim in the beautiful Capability Brown designed lake. With a trickle start, competitors will enter the water in pairs and complete one lap of the course.
2026 sprint distance bike course
Distance - 23km
Total elevation - 181m
Road types and conditions - Mostly minor roads. Road surfaces are good.
Bike choices - Suitable for all types of bikes
The bike course is mostly flat and fast, so great for both beginners and speed merchants looking to blitz a great bike time. The route heads out towards the Edge Hill escarpment before turning left towards Burton Dassett. Another left turn takes you up to Gaydon where you turn left again and head back to the finish via Kineton.
2026 sprint distance run course
Distance - 5km
Total elevation - 75m
The race will finish with a 5km run on tracks and trails in and around the Compton Verney hamlet. This multi-terrain course has it all. Just the right amount of flats and hills to challenge you but also to make the most of the beautiful local scenery. The undulating course through meadows and woodlands will eventually bring you to the finish line in front of the beautiful tree-lined lake.
The run is mostly off road on grass and tracks. The paths are firm underfoot, so trail shoes or road shoes should be fine

BRITISH TRIATHLON MEMBERSHIP
All officially sanctioned triathlon events require that participants hold either a full or one-day British Triathlon Membership. You will be asked to provide your membership number as part of the race sign up process.
The venue
Park Farm, Compton Verney, Warwickshire CV35 9HJ. The hamlet of Compton Verney is very well located in the heart of rural Warwickshire. The main road routes to the venue would be along the 'Fosse Way' B4455 or the B4086 from the direction of Stratford-upon-Avon or from Junction 12 of the M40 via Kineton. The entrance to the event's car park is off the Fosse Way B4455 towards Combrook. Look for the signs directing you into the car park.
