Canterbury Trail Marathon & Half Marathon
The Canterbury Trail Marathon & Half Marathon is a brand new off-road running event set in the beautiful countryside just south of Canterbury. Showcasing the very best of the Kentish landscape, the routes wind their way through a varied mix of scenic trails, rural footpaths, and quiet country lanes, offering runners a true trail running experience.
Both the marathon and half marathon distances take you across rolling farmland, along historic pathways, and through peaceful stretches of open countryside. Expect a course that is diverse and engaging — from wide, runnable tracks to more technical trail sections — all designed to challenge and inspire runners of every level.
The event offers two distances: Marathon and Half Marathon. The Marathon has four checkpoints and aid stations, while the Half Marathon has two checkpoints. Each aid station provides toilets, food, hot and cold drinks, and options to top up water bottles.
Both distances have a mandatory kit list. The Marathon requires navigation skills, and participants must download the route. The Half Marathon is way marked but downloaded route maps are strongly recommended.
Event HQ is at Canterbury Christ Church University Sports Centre and includes showers, changing rooms, toilets, food and drink, a chill-out zone, recovery area, and free massages.
Cut-off times are 3.5 hours for the Half Marathon and 7 hours for the Marathon.
One pound from every entry fee will support the Kent Neuro Therapy Centre.
Live Tracking is available via OpenTracking.
