Event Details
The Cabo Verdean 5K was founded to support, uplift, and provide resources to individuals with breast cancer, their caregivers, families, and communities across Cabo Verde Islands. Our goal is to provide medical assistance, donations, equipment and increase awareness, reduce stigma associated with breast cancer; through education, promoting healthy living, early detection, and annual screening. Our vision is to close the gap in breast cancer care In Cabo Verde Island and open facilities in each Island for breast cancer treatment.
Schedule:
- 5K Start: 9:00 a.m.
- Walk start time: 8:30 a.m.
- Kids race: 8:00 a.m.
Registration and Packet Pickup:
Online Registration Closes: July 24 at 8 PM
On-Site Registration, Race Number and T-shirt Pick-up:
- Friday, July 24, 2026: Marathon Sports, Level 1, Providence Place, 1 Providence place RI 02903. Parking is FREE for the first 2 hours. Packet pickup time: Noon to 6 p.m.
- Entry fees for Friday: $38. Kids race $20.
- Saturday, Race Day, July 25, 2026: 7:45 a.m. to start of 5k race at 9:00 am. The 1 mile walk will start at 8:30am. Location: Max Read Field. Pleasant St, Pawtucket, RI 02860
- Race Day fees: $38. Kids race $20.
Awards:
Awards will be given to overall winners (Men/Women), age group winners, law enforcement winners, and top 3 teams.
