Brynkinalt Running Festival
Based at the stunning Brynkinalt Estate on the edge of Wrexham in the beautiful countryside, the Wrexham 5k & 10k #Trail brings together an active community of people taking part in sporting events for reasons ranging from fitness, competition, charity, health, fun or to simply finish. The participants vary of all ages and all abilities of trail runner.
The festival offers runners the chance to run 5k (approx) and 10k (approx) in the amazing surroundings of the Brynkinalt Estate. We offer canicross on the Saturday and standard running on the Sunday.
Race HQ Start / Finish
This will be in front of the stunning Brynkinalt Hall/Brynkinalt, Wrexham LL14 5NS. *Please note Brynkinalt Estate is on Private land, under no circumstances will you be able to run the route at any other time.
Race Day Schedule
Canicross (Saturday 6th March):
5k – 8.30am
10k – 8.45am
Trail Running (Sunday 7th March):
5k – 9am
10k – 9.15am

(please arrive from the centre of Chirk on Trevor Road and not the trade entrance at the back)

About Wrexham 5k & 10K
Each race offers a challenging route for all trail runners. It takes in some breath-taking scenery overlooking the private estate that is normally closed to the public.
Minimum Ages:
5k (approx) Min age 12 years old
10k (approx) Min age 16 years old
Race Experience:
We aim to have 1 water station halfway around the 10k route and by the start and finish area for all runners. Please can we encourage you to bring a suitable bottle to run with. At the finish line we will give you your medal and let you enjoy the festival in the stunning surroundings.
Race Routes:
The stunning routes is made up of all areas of the Brynkinalt Estate. The route offers a great blend of fast footpaths through to grassed areas and the odd small stony section. We have a little bit of everything including great climbs with breath-taking views.
