Bedford Veterans Center 5K Run/Walk & 1 Mile Walk
Support local veterans and their families at the Bedford Veterans Center 5K Run/Walk and 1 Mile Walk on Wednesday, June 24th, 2026, held at the Bedford Community Stadium (8285 Jackman Rd, Temperance, MI).
Race Details:
- 5K Run/Walk: Starts at 6:30 PM. Features timed racing with age group gift card awards. The course includes Indian Creek Park and a finish on the Bedford High School track.
- 1 Mile Fun Walk: Starts at 6:35 PM. This untimed walk takes place exclusively on the track. Swag is included.
Important Dates & Deadlines:
- T-shirt/Sponsor Logo Deadline: June 10th. Sign up by this date for a guaranteed t-shirt.
- Early Packet Pickup: Tuesday, June 23rd, 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM at Bedford Veterans Center (8020 Lewis Ave, Temperance, MI).
- Race Day Packet Pickup: Wednesday, June 24th, 5:00 PM - 6:25 PM at the stadium (8285 Jackman Rd, Temperance, MI).
- Race Day Registration: Available until 6:00 PM, but early registration is strongly encouraged for planning purposes.
Veteran & Active Duty Registration:
- Veterans and Active Duty military personnel receive FREE registration. Use code USA during checkout. Please register others separately.

Prizes & Special Features:
- FIND THE FLAGS: Multiple flags will be placed on the 5K course. Grab one and race or walk back with it to the finish line for a chance to win prizes! Luck, not speed, determines the winner.
- Gift card awards for 5K age group winners.
- No shirt option available; savings go back to the veterans/volunteer center.

Mission: The mission of this race is to create awareness of our volunteer Veteran services and increase our reach to support more local veterans and their families. We aim to provide an evening of free racing, walking, and camaraderie, showing our community that the Bedford Veterans Center is here to help. Services include support, assistance with benefits/claims, a food pantry, monthly food distributions, and free transportation to VA medical appointments.

Note: The 1-mile walk is exclusively on the track. The 5k course includes gravel sections in Indian Creek Park but has no street crossings. Bathroom facilities at the Bedford Community Stadium will be available.
