Battle of the Borders
Battle of the Borders is a trail running event in the Shropshire Hills with race HQ at Carding Mill Valley, Church Stretton, Shropshire. The route crosses The Long Mynd and National Trust land. The full marathon is staged as a single lap rather than loops or out-and-back sections.

- Half Marathon: 13.1 miles

The course will be fully marked but participants should carry a map of the area. Runners are expected to carry a rucksack with a minimum of 500 ml of water and a basic first aid kit. The entry price includes a medal and there are well stocked aid stations on the course. Marshals will be present along the route. Trail running at its best in the Shropshire Hills. Choice of Half Marathon or Marathon distance.
The weekend of the 7th September will see the return of one of the most epic half and full trail marathons to hit Shropshire, with runners tackling 13.1 or 26.2 miles on the beautiful Shropshire Hills and The Long Mynd. This is a single lap marathon so no loops or out and backs.
The route covers a National Trust haven and the start and finish will be in Carding Mill Valley near the National Trust tea rooms. The course will be fully marked but runners should carry a map of the area. Runners will also be expected to carry a rucksack and a minimum of 500ml of water and a basic 1st aid kit. The race will start at 9am, and there will be a cut off of 7 hours for the full marathon. You must complete your first lap by 12.30PM to go out on a 2nd lap.
Carding Mill Valley is just a stone’s throw from the beautiful town of Church Stretton which has a train station within a mile of the start.
Price includes a blingtastic medal and well stocked aid stations out on the course. Friendly marshals included.
