Ashford Striders Charing 10k
The event is an evening race held in the village of Charing, Kent, with a main 10 km race and a separate Junior Run (not chip timed). The route uses tarmac, quiet country lanes and a short trail section, and is described as undulating with one notable climb roughly after halfway. The course passes towards Eastwell and includes a stretch along the Pilgrims Way. There is no cut off time.
The race has a community focus with marshals and local support positioned along the route. Included for participants are a bespoke medal and trophies and prizes for leading runners. Event information is sent to registered entrants before race day.

Parking
Please note, car parking will NOT be available on the Charing Playing Fields. A reminder that there will be NO PARKING ALLOWED on The Moat. Instead, parking has been arranged in a field close to Race HQ and will be available from 17:00. Please follow signs and marshal instructions. Parking will cost £1 on entry. Please ensure that you have the correct change available. If you park elsewhere in the village, please observe all parking restrictions. Please park considerately and do not block junctions, pedestrian areas or driveways.
By Train/Bus:
Charing Train Station is around half a mile away from the playing fields. There are also local bus services available.
