AOK Firmenlauf Bielefeld
The 12th AOK Firmenlauf Bielefeld will take place on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, in Bielefeld. The event is not about best times, but about team spirit, community, and creativity. Everyone from apprentices to managing directors, from professional athletes to running beginners, can participate. The 6 km course is easily manageable alone or with a team.
About the Race
The race takes place in the historic old town of Bielefeld. The length of the course is intentionally designed to be approximately 6.0 km to appeal to as many employees in companies as possible and to motivate them to participate. This allows running enthusiasts to bring even non-runners along for joint activity.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Can our company receive an invoice for the entry fees paid? Every company, firm, or group (institution) participating in the company run will receive an invoice for the entry fees and booked additional options. A list of participants is always included for an overview.
- Where and how long is the course? The course in the Bielefeld old town offers an ideal running backdrop. The exact course map can be found online under 'Strecke' and in printable form under 'Downloads'. The length of the course is intentionally designed to be approximately 6.0 km to appeal to as many employees in companies as possible and to motivate them to participate.
- Are there sanitary facilities and changing rooms? Experience shows that many of you arrive already in sportswear. A toilet trailer will be available for you.
- Is there enough catering at the event site? We have a drinks stand at the event site, as well as a selection of food.
- Are there vehicles on the course? Yes. In cooperation with the city of Bielefeld, we have found an attractive route in the old town, partly with car traffic. We ask participants to follow the instructions of the organizational staff. A "wrong-way driver" or an ambulance could be on the road at any time. So, run yes – but also pay attention.
- Can the run start at a different time? With the starting gun at 7:00 PM, we try to do justice to everyone. Those who have earlier closing times will have to bridge a little time, others who would actually have to work until 8:00 PM can perhaps make an exception and swap with colleagues who are not running. An earlier start would exclude those who work longer – and a later start would shorten the After-Run Party. Therefore, our compromise: The start is at 7:00 PM.
- Is there timing? The company run is themed "fit2gether". Therefore, we have deliberately refrained from timing since the first minute. This is also because the performance aspect is not conducive to motivation for running together for the company climate and thus many inexperienced people would not participate. Previous runs show that fun is a far more important factor in the company run than a good running time.
- Where can I get value tokens? You can order runner euros (value tokens) in advance via the online administration or by email ([email protected]). These will be sent to you along with the starting documents, and the invoice can then be conveniently paid by bank transfer. Of course, you can also buy enough runner euros at the event site.
