14th Annual Alive and Running VA 5K Fun Run/Walk
This event offers both a LIVE and VIRTUAL option for 2026. Participants can choose to run the live event at the VA location or participate virtually from anywhere.
Virtual Event Details:
- Run or walk the 5K distance anywhere between Saturday, September 12th, and Sunday, October 3rd.
- Enter your time on the Run Sign-up website.
- Virtual participants will receive a race t-shirt.
Live Event Details:
The live course is located on the campus of the Battle Creek VA Medical Center, starting in the parking lot at the entrance. The run goes up the main hill and around the historic campus twice before returning to the finish. The race will be timed, with runners starting first, followed by walkers.
Important Information:
- Children and strollers are allowed, but children must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
- Dogs are not allowed (service dogs may be permitted upon inquiry).
- In case of inclement weather, the race may be delayed or cancelled. No refunds will be given.
- This event is brought to you in collaboration with Gryphon Place, supporting suicide prevention services.
Packet Pickup and Registration:
- Friday, September 11th: 4:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. @ Parking lot at the entrance of the medical center.
- Saturday, September 12th: 7:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.
Race Time:
Saturday, September 12th - 9:00 a.m.
Registration Fees:
- Early Bird Online Registration: $15 through July 01, 2026.
- Standard Online Registration: $20 from July 02nd through September 11th.
- Race Day Registration: $30.
- Mail-in Registration: $15 (postmarked by July 01, 2026), $20 (postmarked by September 03, 2026).
- To guarantee a t-shirt, registrations must be made by September 1, 2026.
- No paper registrations on site.
Awards:
Top 3 male and female finishers in each age division (14 and Under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80 and Over).
