9th Annual Resolution 5K and 1-Mile Run

<p>Join us for the 9th Annual Resolution 5K and 1-Mile Run on New Year's Day at the beautiful 24th Street Park in Virginia Beach. The event will start with the 1-mile run at 9:15 AM, followed by the 5K at 10:00 AM. </p><p>The courses for both races are out-and-back on the boardwalk, with the turnaround point at 17th street for the mile and 2nd street for the 5K. Both races will finish back at 24th street. </p><p>Registered runners for the 5K will receive a custom Tidewater Striders Umbrella, while mile runners will receive a custom cinch bag and special finisher item. There will be an aid station with water at the 5K turnaround point. </p><p>Packet pickup will be on race day from 8:00 to 9:45 AM at the 24th Street Park Stage. The 5K race will start at 10:00 AM and close at noon. Walkers may arrange an early start or self-time after 10:00 AM. </p><p>After the race, join us for a post-race party at a location to be announced. Awards will be given to the top 3 overall male and female finishers in the 5K and 1-mile races, as well as the top 3 in each age group. Top 3 walkers in the 5K will also receive awards. </p><p>Registration will be open until 8:45 AM on race day. Discounts are available for Strider Plus/Legacy runners and club members. This event is part of the Tidewater Striders Running Grand Prix Race series. Don't miss out on starting the year off right with a fun and challenging run at the beach!</p>
