24-Stunden-Lauf im Friedensstadion
The 8th edition of the "24-Stunden-Lauf" (24-hour run) organized by VfB Germania in collaboration with the Freizeit- und Sportzentrum Halberstadt will start on June 12, 2026, at 6:00 PM. This event is integrated with the VfB Germania club festival, where various sports departments will introduce themselves and offer activities.
In addition to typical sports like archery, table tennis, judo, athletics, and gymnastics, there will be the traditional bus pull on the Friedensstadion track.
The primary goal of the "24-Stunden-Lauf" is to maintain continuous movement on the track for the entire 24 hours, ensuring no second passes without a runner.
For the 2026 edition, interested athletes can participate in the "Harzer-Lauf-Cup" series. Ambitious runners can register for this series during the 24 hours for a fee.
Participation in the "24-Stunden-Lauf" itself is free for all other runners. Please be considerate of the registered runners with bib numbers, as they always have priority.
Race Schedule:
- Friday, June 12:
- 6:00 PM: 24h Run
- 8:00 PM: 1h Run into the Sunset
- Saturday, June 13:
- 6:00 AM: 12h Run
- 12:00 PM: 06h Run
There is also a special "Night Trophy" award for 24h runners from 0:00 AM to 6:00 AM.
The "Harzer-Lauf-Cup" is a series that started with the Altstadtlauf Halberstadt on May 10 and concludes with the Brockenheroes in Schierke in September, featuring seven races in total.
Registration for the Halberstadt 24h Run on June 12, 2026, can be done via the official website.
The awards ceremony for all distances will take place immediately after the end of the "24-Stunden-Lauf" at 6:15 PM. Winners will receive trophies, and all participants will receive certificates that can be printed on-site or beforehand.
Registration Fees:
- 24h Run (Age 18+): €25
- 12h Run (Age 16+): €20 / €15 (Youth)
- 06h Run (Age 12+): €15 / €10 (Youth)
- 01h Run (Age 10+): €10 / €8 (Youth)
Registration Deadline: June 4, 11:59 PM. A late registration fee of +€5 applies until June 13, 6:00 AM.
Note: The "Harzer-Lauf-Cup" evaluation will be displayed live online and on-site.
