18. ZfS Münster-City-RUN
The Münster City Run will take place in Münster on Sunday, July 5, 2026. You can run 5 or 10 kilometers through the city center. The event is part of the Westmünsterland running series.
Races:
- 5 km: Start: 18:40 (Finish time: 19:30!)
- 10 km: Start: 19:30 (Finish time: 20:45!)
The courses consist of 5 laps (10km) or 2 plus a shortened lap (5km) on a flat route through Münster's city center. The courses were newly measured in accordance with AIMS using the Jones Counter method on July 2, 2023. The event is registered as a World Ranking Competition of Category F, making it eligible for international best lists.

Late registration fee on the day of the event (from 05.07.2026, 00:00): an additional 1,- Euro.
Note: In case of non-participation or withdrawal, there is no entitlement to a refund of the organization fee.
Payment:
The participation fee will be collected via SEPA direct debit. Cash payment on site is not possible.
Registration Deadline/Late Registration:
Pre-registration for the road races until 04.07.2026, 23:59. Afterwards, online late registration is possible up to 30 minutes before the start of the respective race, provided the event allows it.
Timing:
Timing is done with single-use transponders integrated into the bib number. The bib number does not need to be returned after the race.
Age Groups:
Age group classification and permitted distances follow the current German Athletics Regulations (DLO). Participation in the 10km run is limited to classes W/MJU16 - W/M90, while the 5km run also allows participation for W/MJU14.
Awards and Ceremonies:
Cash prizes for the first six women and men in the overall standings. Prizes are tiered: 150,- Euro, 120,- Euro, 90,- Euro, 60,- Euro, 40,- Euro, 20,- Euro. Additionally, a bonus of 150,- Euro is offered for a new course record.

There will be no age group award ceremony. Winners and placed participants will receive their certificates at the award ceremony. The award ceremony for the 5km run will take place at 19:30, immediately after the start of the 10km run. The award ceremony for the 10km run is scheduled for 20:45. All other certificates can be downloaded online immediately. Prizes will only be presented at the award ceremony on the event day.
Organizational Details:
Start Office/Bib Number Pickup: On the event day from 5:30 PM at Michaelisplatz (passageway from Bezirksregierung/Domplatz to Rathaus/Prinzipalmarkt, directly at the start).
Information: LSF Münster e.V., Postfach 48 22, 48027 Münster.
Directions/Venue: Take the A 43 and A 1 (Kreuz Münster-Süd) or A 1 (Abfahrt Münster-Nord) towards the city center. Locals are advised to travel by bike if possible.
Parking: Parking in Münster's city center is only permitted in designated parking areas or parking garages. Please use the parking guidance system.
