Worstead 5 Mile Race
North Norfolk Beach Runners are excited to host the 38th edition of the Worstead 5 mile race! The Worstead ‘5’ is a popular event suitable for all, and set on undulating local roads.
The race is the pre-cursor to the Worstead Festival taking place over the weekend, and will provide a festival vibe for spectators while the race takes place, and all those competing after the race with street food vendors and celebratory beers for those PB’s! We’re keeping the Mixed Team prize for the first team home which we introduced in 2024. It will be calculated on Club Runners with the first two males and first two females to count based on cumulative time!
The race starts at 7pm in the Village square taking you out on country lanes for a mile before turning towards Sloley where you complete a loop before heading back to the Village square for cheering crowds and the finish line. You can also expect good support from the local residents from the surrounding area on your way around the course. Please be aware that although the race follows quiet roads, they are not closed to traffic.
This event is run under UK Athletics Rules. The course has been measured and certified and will be UK Athletics Licensed.
