Winterlaufserie Alfter 2026/2027
The Winterlaufserie Alfter is a non-competitive event ideal for both competitive runners and hobby athletes, attracting around 700 participants annually. It serves as a great winter training opportunity in a family-friendly environment.
Courses
- 10 km: Marked forest trails within the Kottenforst Nature Park.
- 15 km: Marked forest trails within the Kottenforst Nature Park.
- 20 km: Marked forest trails within the Kottenforst Nature Park.
The routes are traffic-free, flat, and can be combined or repeated as desired. GPX tracks are available.
Dates
The series runs from November 2026 to January 2027, with the following dates:
- 1st Day: Sunday, November 15, 2026
- 2nd Day: Sunday, November 29, 2026
- 3rd Day: Sunday, December 13, 2026
- 4th Day: Sunday, December 27, 2026
- 5th Day: Sunday, January 10, 2027
- 6th Day: Sunday, January 24, 2027
Start and Finish
The start and finish are at the sports field in Alfter:
- Address: Strangheidgesweg 100, 53347 Alfter
- Follow signs for "Sportplatz", "Alfterer SC", or "Tennisclub" within the town.
Start Times
Starts are open from 8:00 AM. There is no mass start; participants can begin at any time they choose.
End Time
The finish line closes at 1:00 PM (13:00) each day.
Registration and Fees
Registration is on the day of the event; no pre-registration is required. You can join the series on any subsequent date. The start fees are:
- Full Series (with certificate): 20 Euros
- Day Ticket: 5 Euros
Fees paid for day tickets can be credited towards the series registration if you decide to join the full series later. An optional anniversary backpack is available for 5 Euros.
Awards
Certificates will be issued to series participants, detailing total kilometers covered. A special prize is awarded for the highest kilometer performance by a club or running group team.
Facilities
- Showers and changing rooms are available.
- Free tea at the start and finish. Other drinks, cake, and sausages are available for purchase at moderate prices. No refreshments are provided on the course.
