Windsor 50 Ultra Challenge®
The Windsor 50 Ultra Challenge is a supported trail event held from Windsor Racecourse on Saturday 17 April 2027. Participants follow looped routes through the Great Park with views of Windsor Castle, onto Runnymede, and along the Thames Path into surrounding countryside.
Participants may walk, jog, or run and can enter as individuals or teams. Event categories and options include a Solo start time, the Ultra March category for time-target walking, and the Ultra Trailblazerz category for faster competitive runners.
Distances:
- 50 km loop
- 25 km loop
- 10 km loop
The route is fully signed and uses GPS tracking in the event app. There are rest stops approximately every 12.5 km with marquee cover and larger stops about every 25 km; catering includes snacks, picnic lunch options and finish-line meals as described for each distance. Medical provision includes doctors, paramedics, first aiders, podiatrists and massage teams, with a 24 hour control room and mobile emergency teams available. Timing scans record progress at rest stops.
Event logistics listed in the event information include shuttle buses and transfers, parking, camping, and a bar at basecamp. Finishers receive a medal, a finisher T shirt and a glass of fizz, and a finish-line celebration is provided at the racecourse basecamp.
