Windmill 10K
The Windmill 10 km is a road race organised by Fylde Coast Runners on the Fylde coast. The route runs on roads that will be subject to a full road closure for the event. The course is open to the public at certain points so runners should expect pedestrians and cyclists to be present.
Entry is limited to 2250 places and entries close on Wednesday 4th November unless the limit is reached. Group entry options and discounts are offered for groups of four to ten runners. Race packs must be collected from the race venue on the day; entrants should bring their email confirmation or payment receipt. The race pack includes pins and a running number that must be worn on the front, with medical details completed on the back.
A water station is positioned at the halfway point, and bottled water is also available at the finish. The bottle cap will be removed before handing the bottle to runners. Toilet facilities are provided at the venue, at the start area, along the route and at the finish; the roadside facilities require 40p to operate. Medics are stationed at the water point and at the finish.
All finishers receive a commemorative medal and post-race drinks and snacks. Prizes are awarded to the first three male and first three female finishers and to veterans in the stated age categories. There is a process for deferral or transfer of places via an online form; fees may apply. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
