Whinlatter FRA Junior Championships
The Whinlatter FRA Junior Championships is Round 6 of the Fell Runners Association junior series, held on 12 July 2026 at Whinlatter Forest Park. The event is for junior categories from Under 10 up to Under 20 and is organised under FRA rules. Entry for juniors is by pre-entry only; there are no entries on the day for juniors. The senior race is held alongside but is entries-on-the-day only.
The event uses Revelin Moss Car Park, Whinlatter Pass, as the start location (postcode CA12 5TW).
Race Start Times, Age Groupings & Distances/Ascent
- 11am - U10 - 1.5km/100m
- 11.15am - U12 - 2km/190m
- 11.40am - U14 - 3.2km/350m
- 12.30pm - U16 & U18 - 3.6km/420m
- 1.30pm - U20 & Seniors - 5.6km/510m
All routes are out and back, except the U20/Seniors route which goes clockwise. Course maps are provided for each category.
Entry Options
Individual junior category entries are available for £7.00 plus a booking charge. The FRA Junior Championship Series entry, covering multiple rounds including this race, is available for £20.00.
