Werner-Seelenbinder-Gedenklauf
The Werner-Seelenbinder-Gedenklauf in Gröden is a traditional running event that combines sport and remembrance. In 2024, the 47th edition of this special event already attracted over 300 running enthusiasts to Gröden. Whether ambitious competitive runners or recreational athletes – participants honor not only a great sporting personality with every kilometer run, but also set an example against forgetting. In addition to the sporting challenge, the sense of community is paramount. The event offers a special opportunity to combine sport, history, and remembrance culture and to keep Seelenbinder's legacy alive.
General Information
The next Werner-Seelenbinder-Lauf will take place on 18.10.2026.
Changing and shower facilities: For participants, changing rooms and showers are available in the kindergarten, and for participants in the sports facility.
Luggage storage: Luggage can be stored in the changing rooms, but liability is not assumed.
Bib distribution: Bibs will be issued from 08:00 at the sports field. Corresponding stations are marked accordingly.
Organizational fee: An organizational fee is charged for participation in the run. The fee covers the costs for organization, timing, and provision of infrastructure on the event day.

- First medical aid on the course and in the finish area
- Electronic timing (gross time measurement)
- Prizes for the 1st - 3rd place finishers on all courses for women and men, except for hikers and walkers

Registration
As soon as registration for the 49th Werner-Seelenbinder-Lauf 2026 opens, we will inform you in good time.
Registration for the run is exclusively online via the official timing website. All participants can register quickly and easily there.
If the regular online registration is missed, there is the possibility of late registration on the day of the competition until 09:30. Please note that late registrations are only possible to a limited extent.
We recommend all runners to register online early to avoid waiting times and potential bottlenecks on the day of the event.
