Wanzele Loopt
Wanzele Loopt takes place in the most charming village of Lede and is organized by a large group of volunteers on the occasion of the Kermis Wanzele. In addition to our road race, there is much more to experience during the Kermis. On Sunday, September 13th, the VBS Sterreneiland, department Wanzeleen, will host a barbecue, and some activities will take place at Volkshuis De Spins. The five races of WANZELE LOOPT start and end at the Kerk of Wanzele, led by speaker Renaat and the local town crier of Lede, Filip Van De Keere.
Program:
- 18:00: Start Kidsrun 400m -8 years
- 18:15: Start Kidsrun 400m – 8 to 10 years
- 18:30: Start Kidsrun 800m – 10 to 12 years
- 19:00: Start Adult Run 5 km (Award ceremony at 20:15)
- 20:00: Start Adult Run 10 km (Award ceremony at 21:30)
The Kidsruns are free for children up to 12 years old. Adults pay a €10 participation fee. Every participant receives a medal as a souvenir and a goodie bag. The top three winners in each run receive a medal (bronze, silver, or gold). The finishes of the adult runs are electronically registered and can be followed on the website.
