Race Info
The Redbird Run is a fun 5K run and walk hosted during the Virginia, IL BBQ festival. The event is organized by the Virginia Cross Country Team, consisting of fifth - eighth graders from Virginia and Triopia schools. Money raised will support student success, new uniforms, and workout equipment.
Registration and Packet Pickup: Starts at 7:00 am at the Virginia High School entrance. Online registration closes at this time. Parking is available in the Virginia School lots or near the ball diamonds.
Race Start Time: 8:00 am CDT
Course: The race will begin and end near Virginia School, passing by the Virginia BBQ Square, Cass County Fair Grounds, Rexroat Prairie, and Virginia Park.
Prizes: Awards will be given to the top male and female runners in various age categories.
Virginia BBQ Festival: The race is part of a larger town festival featuring a pageant, vendors, parade, carnival rides, and entertainment from June 6-8.
