Ultra In The Black Country 2027
Back for its 10th year, The Ultra In The Black Country takes place on Sunday 21st March 2027. The start and finish are at Baggeridge Country Park near Dudley, West Midlands. Parking is available for £3.50.
The 32-mile loop is divided into 4 sections, suitable for solo runners, pairs, or teams of 4. This event offers a scenic urban loop through the historic Black Country, featuring old railway lines, canal towpaths, and tunnels. It is approximately 97% traffic-free, with minimal road crossings.
The route includes a mandatory head torch section for the 2.7km Netherton Tunnel. There are three checkpoints that also serve as relay changeover locations, offering water, energy drinks, and assorted food. Finishers will receive a medal and a bottle of Teme Valley Brewery beer.

Leg 4 - 10 miles
The minimum age for runners is 18 years old on race day. Participants must complete the route within nine hours.
Entry Fees:
- Solo: £55 (Early Bird: £30 for the first 20 sign-ups)
- Pairs: £65 (£32.50 each)
- Team of 4: £90 (£22.50 each)
