UK WTC: Pre Backyard Run
Want to run on the official UK Team Backyard route? Of course you do! Well, now is your chance. Join us on the morning of the world champs itself and run the route before the UK team of 15 officially begins their long few days in the forest. The run is limited to two yards of the route, so you can get it all warmed up for the main event at 1pm.
You can experience all the trail has to offer before cheering on the UK National Team as they head out at 1pm, alongside 73 other countries across the world.
This is a pay-what-you-can pricing system, with a minimum payment of £15 per entry. We are trying to raise as much money as possible for this event, there is no funding and there is no entry fee. Obviously in Rasselbock fashion we’re wanting to go all out and make this the biggest and best event that we possibly can so we’ve put together a few fun fundraising ideas that will hopefully also double as a way to keep spectators on site and viewers tuned in.
Run Information
- Start Time: The run starts at 10 am sharp. Registration will be open from 9:15am to collect your race bib before a quick pre run briefing at 9:55am.
- Route Length: You can just run one yard if you’d like, and you do not need to tell us until you’re dropping out after your first yard.
- Timing: The run is not chip timed and you will not receive an official finish time, place, or yard times. This run is just for fun.
- End of Route Deadline: Whilst the official rules mean you have to be finished with your second yard by 12 midday, you will have a small amount of extra time to get back again. You must be 100% off the route by 12:30 pm.
- Official Rules: Whilst we will still ask everyone to follow the official backyard rules, we will not be enforcing them. This is just for fun and to be a part of the UK Team Event!
- Memento: No medal, but you will get a small memento for taking part.
