Two Turtle Doves - Boxing Day Fell Race
Organised by Totley AC, the Two Turtle Doves race is a Boxing Day fell race starting from the Totley AC pavilion. Entry costs £8, with all proceeds donated to S6 foodbank and Edale Mountain Rescue.
The race route is 7.8 km with 270 metres of ascent, classified as a BS category race. It runs entirely on public rights of way and is partially marked, requiring competitors to follow flags at all times. The course features varied terrain including a river crossing, woodland sections, and moorland.
Mandatory Kit: Due to the time of year, all runners must carry full FRA Best Practice kit, including waterproof whole body cover with taped seams, hat, gloves, map, compass, whistle, and emergency food. Mandatory kit inspections will be performed.
Entry: Pre-entry is available via The Entry Point, and entries will also be accepted on the day. The event is open to entrants aged 18 and over. Race numbers must be visible at all times.
Facilities: Toilets, showers, and a pub are available at the venue. Parking is limited.
Awards: Certificates will be awarded to top finishers in various categories.
