Triatlon Donkmeer - Berlare | 01.08.2026
The 41st edition of the quarter and trio-triatlon Donkmeer will take place on Saturday, August 1, 2026. The different competition formulas remain, including the Triatlon Kids, Trio-triatlon, Start 2 Triatlon, and of course the Kwarttriatlon.
An important change is the location for the start, finish, and swimming part. These will move to the provincial domain Nieuwdonk. In the summer, the water quality of the Donkmeer is not guaranteed due to possible blue-green algae. With the choice for Nieuwdonk, the focus is on safety and certainty for the participants. The cycling and running course will largely remain the same.

Transition Zone
The transition zone is located at the domain of the Provincial Domain Nieuwdonk, Dendermondse Steenweg 13A, 9290 Berlare. Here athletes place their bike and running shoes before starting the race. A storage box is mandatory in this transition park. This box must be made of plastic, must not contain any markings (e.g., stickers) unless otherwise specified, and must not be larger than L45x35x25 cm. The athlete's name may be mentioned. As soon as a part of an item is in the box, it is considered to be in the box. A storage box that does not meet these conditions is not allowed. More information about opening hours and the different heats will follow later.The organizers cannot be held responsible for lost equipment.
