Totnes 10K
The Totnes 10K is an annual running event that takes place in Totnes, Devon. The main route is approximately 11 km long following changes due to terrain erosion. The course is almost entirely off-road and follows a scenic path alongside the River Dart. The race starts and finishes at Borough Park, with the Totnes Leisure Centre serving as the race headquarters.
Participants have access to facilities at the leisure centre including toilets, showers, and changing rooms. Additional portable toilets are also provided on-site. The event provides medical cover, a bag drop area, and a professional PA system featuring live race commentary.
Available distances include:
- 11 km (Main race)
- 1 mile (Fun run)
The one-mile fun run is held on a measured course around the perimeter of Borough Park. This shorter distance is open to various age categories including under 6, under 9, under 12, and under 15. All finishers in both the main race and the fun run receive a bespoke medal.
The event features a variety of awards for the first five male and female finishers, as well as category prizes for veterans in five-year increments up to age 70. There are also specific awards for the first two men's and ladies' teams. On-site refreshments include a BBQ with meat and vegetarian options, along with a selection of cakes. For safety and regulatory reasons, the use of headphones is strictly prohibited during the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
