Tidewater Striders Duathlon
Welcome to the 5th Annual Tidewater Striders Duathlon! This event includes the Striders Kids Mini Duathlon, Striders Sprint Duathlon, and Striders Sprint Duathlon Novice Division.
Races:
- Sprint Duathlon: 2 Mile Run- 12.4 Mile Bike - 2 Mile Run
- Novice Sprint Duathlon: (Multi-sport Beginners) Same distance as the Sprint.
- Kids Mini Duathlon: 1 Mile Run- 5 Mile Bike Ride -1/2 mile run
Time Limits:
- Sprint: 3-hour time limit, starts at 7:30 AM EDT
- Kids Mini: 2-hour time limit, starts at 9:15 AM EDT
Course: Out and back course on the closed 2-lane roadway at the Dismal Swamp Trail Park in Chesapeake.
Fluids and Food: 2 aid stations (transition area and one-mile run turnaround) with water and Gatorade.
Amenities and Post-Race: Premium race shirts, medals for all finishers, on-site hospitality, refreshments, and an awards ceremony.
Awards: Sprint Duathlon (top 3 overall Male/Female/Masters, top 3 in 10-year age groups); Novice Sprint (top 3 overall Male/Female); Mini Duathlon (age group awards).
Registration: Register by June 8th for a guaranteed race shirt. Registration closes June 27, 2025, at 9 PM EDT. No race-day registration.
Packet Pickup: Early packet pickup at Pedal! Bike Co. (Friday, 4 PM-6 PM). Race-day pickup starts at 6:30 AM.
