The Whitstable & Herne Bay MoRun
The event takes place at Hampton Pier Recreation Ground in Herne Bay CT6 8EJ and includes multiple chip timed running distances. The course runs largely along the seafront on hard surfaces, with a grass village hub. The route is dog friendly and generally suitable for buggy running, though some sections are narrow. Marshals and signage guide runners to stay on the left unless instructed otherwise.
Distances offered:
- 1.5 km Mini MoRun with chip timing
- 5 km out-and-back with a turning point at 2.5 km
- 10 km out-and-back with a turning point at 5 km
- Half marathon includes a 1.1 km section then repeats the 10 km out-and-back twice
Participants receive race chip timing on a bib, a MoRunning medal and a MoRunning headband. The event provides water, drinks and sweets at the finish, plus toilets, limited bag storage under manned gazebos, and instant race results. There are prizes and special medals for categories such as fastest MoBro and MoSista, best dressed, and best Mo. Parking near the park is limited and a free public car park sits opposite the event hub. Herne Bay railway station is within walking distance of the venue.
