Race Information
The Trail That Can't Be Concord features a 30K, 10K, and Kids Trail Mile. The 10K and 20K races start at 8:00 am, while the KIDS RACE starts at 7:30 am. The event starts and finishes at Concord Park on Northshore Drive.
Course Description
The course is described as wild and wooly. One lap is 10k, two laps are 20k, and there is a fast and furious Kids Trail Mile.
Directions
Take I-40 to Campbell Station Rd, exit and head south. Cross Kingston Pike and continue to the roundabout junction with Northshore Drive. Turn right and go 1.3 miles. Parking will be available on the left and/or right.
Registration and Fees
Registration fees are listed above. KTC member discounts are accepted. Special series registration offers include a 7 for $109 Season Pass or a Kids 7 for $29 Kids Pass bundle deal. The Trail Series Bundle expires June 1.
Kids Trail Race
Kids will run a moderately hilly and fun out-and-back course of about a mile.
T-Shirts
Special limited edition T-shirts will be printed for the series. This is the same shirt as at all other Treadin’ Trodden Trails races; one shirt per runner PER SEASON.
TTT Series Awards
The top 3 in each division will receive free race entries. There will also be a drawing for two pairs of shoes, sponsored by Runners Market. Awards will be presented at the annual KTC Holiday Party in December. To qualify for series awards, you must be a member of KTC and have volunteered two times during the trail race season.
Course Etiquette
No headsets, earphones, bicycles, baby strollers, roller blades or pets on the course due to insurance regulations.
Safety
There will be at least one aid station. Runners are urged to carry their own hydration container. Anyone sensitive to insect stings or bites should carry their own medication. Pre-race training off-road is recommended.
Safety Policy Clarification
Runners under 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult in the adult races. A minimum pace of 18:00/mile will be enforced. Each race will have a sweeper.
