The Three River Challenge 2026
Back by popular demand, the South Kyme Three River Challenge returns in 2026 with its full 15-mile route. This event combines riverbank and road running along the rivers Slea, Skirth, and Witham across the scenic Lincolnshire Fens.
The challenging course incorporates both trail and road sections, with areas of rough ground requiring extra care. Participants will find marshalled decision points and supervised bag drop facilities at the Coronation Hall in South Kyme village.
Venue & Directions
The assembly area is the Coronation Hall, South Kyme, Lincoln, LN4 4AD. Free parking is available behind the hall, with additional roadside parking in the village. The what3words location is: touched.thickened.contrived.
Start Times
- Walkers (or slow runners expecting to take over 3 hours 30 minutes) start at 0900.
- Runners start at 1000.
Support & Refreshments
Three drinks stations are located along the route at approximately 7km, 13km, and 17km. Post-run, participants can enjoy free hot soup, tea, coffee, cake, and receive commemorative medals.
Facilities & Safety
Limited changing facilities are available. Bags can be left under supervision in the Coronation Hall. Participants enter and compete at their own risk, with immediate medical assistance provided in the assembly area. Dogs are permitted but must be kept under close control.
