The Ridgeway Chase
The Ridgeway Chase is a 60 km point-to-point ultramarathon that follows the Ridgeway National Trail. The route begins at Ivinghoe Beacon and finishes at Ridgeway View Campsite near Wallingford, covering the first 60 km of the National Trail with over 1000 m of elevation gain.
The event allows 10 hours to complete the course and a maximum field of 150 runners. Minimum age to enter is 20. The race is a UTMB World Series Index event and is licensed by the Trail Running Association under UKA rules. Open tracking is provided and permanent signage is supplemented by Runaway Racing markers where needed.
Support and logistics include free parking at the finish and coach transfers to the start arranged before the race; coach transport to the start has sold out for the noted edition. A runner guide PDF and a GPX file of the course are available. The event offers live results and a race briefing video.
