The Northumbrian - The ULTIMATE Endurance Event
The Northumbrian is the ultimate endurance test, set in the stunning Kielder Water and Forest Park. This event combines scenery, fortitude, adventure, and achievement, welcoming its fifth edition in the summer of 2026.
Event Details:
- Trail Run - 28K: 27.6 km with 400 m elevation.
- Trail Run - 50K Ultra: 48 km with 675 m elevation.

Race Information:
The trail runs take place on Saturday 27 June 2026. Both the 28km and 50km races are UTMB Index events and licensed by the Trail Running Association, adhering to UK Athletics rules. Cut-off times are 4 hours for 20km, 6 hours for 30km, and 10 hours for the 50km. A mandatory kit list is published by the organizers.
Minimum entry ages are 18 for the 28 km event and 20 for the 50 km event. Entry prices include race apparel, electronic chip timing, on-course support and nutrition, a medal, and a goody bag.
