The MTC Richmond Ultra
The MTC Richmond Ultra is a point-to-point ultramarathon covering 33 miles along the River Thames. The route runs from Travelodge Kingston (KT1 2PD) to the Thames Barrier, passing landmarks such as Richmond Lock, Kew Palace and a succession of Thames bridges including Chiswick, Barnes, Hammersmith, Putney, Wandsworth, Battersea, Albert, Chelsea, Grosvenor, Vauxhall, Lambeth Bridges before reaching the Thames Barrier.
The race includes two staffed checkpoints that provide water and basic nutritional items. Organisers endeavour to cater for gluten free, vegan and vegetarian needs; competitors with other dietary requirements may use drop bags left at checkpoints. All finishers receive a bespoke Richmond Ultra medal and a race memento such as a technical t-shirt, mug or hat; the first male and female finishers are awarded bespoke trophies.
