The Greedy Run
The Greedy Run is one day in the 7 Deadly Sins race series held at Pengethley Manor, Ross-on-Wye. The event offers multiple distance options and a time limit of seven hours to complete the chosen distance.
Distances Available:
- 5k (two laps of the circuit)
- 10k
- Half Marathon
- Marathon
- Ultra
The route is off road and contained within the grounds of Pengethley Manor. Each lap is 2.5 km and the course includes a hill repeated on each lap and a series of undulations through two vineyards. The organiser describes the course as very tough. The event is open to walkers and runners; participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
On the day there is free parking, complimentary tea and coffee, sandwiches and soup, and toilets. Virtual entries are available and may be completed on any day in January. Virtual entrants receive a personalised virtual bib and, once a run is verified, a medal is posted. Proof options include a photo of a GPS device, joining the organiser Strava group, or uploading to the organiser Facebook page. Entry fees are non refundable. Reduced charity places are available with a sponsorship condition and other entry fee options apply for virtual UK and overseas entries. Event Information
Race start is at 10:00. You have 7 hours to complete your chosen run distance. Each Lap is 2.5k in distance. Suitable for walkers and runners. The course is offroad, all within the grounds of Pengethley Manor, and very tough. There is a bit of a hill, which will be run on each lap, and a series of up and downs through two vineyards.
You chose your distance - each day has the option of a 5k, 10k, Half Marathon, Marathon or Ultra.
Race day is Saturday 16th January 2027. On the day please arrive between 9:00 and 9:30 to register yourself and to collect your race Bib. Race Registration will close at 9:45 and the races will start promptly at 10:00.

Virtual Runs:
You can do your run on any day in the month of January. Choose the distance yourself, but you must do a minimum of 5k. Once you have entered, you will receive a personalised Virtual Bib as a keepsake. Entry fees are the same to cover admin of your virtual bib and the additional p&p costs.
