The Cut - LIMINAL 2026
LIMINAL is the opening event in THE CUT Endurance Series, held at Perranporth Life Saving Club. The local coastline, dunes, and surrounding terrain form the course for this unique endurance format.
The event features a 12-round plus a final threshold event. The distance for each running loop remains within a range of 3 to 4 miles, but the specific time required to complete each round is not disclosed until competitors start that round. Failing to meet a round requirement results in immediate elimination.
Competitors who complete all 12 rounds enter a final hour where head-to-head competition determines the winners; one male and one female winner are declared.
Preparation Guidelines:
The organizers recommend that competitors be able to run three miles in 24 minutes or under on undulating terrain as a guideline for safety and competitive standard. The location exposes participants to coastal conditions, shifting ground, and undulating terrain.
Mandatory Minimum Kit:
- Trail or off-road running footwear
- High-visibility vest or outer layer
- Head torch
- Rear red light
- Fully charged mobile phone
- Personal hydration system
Spare footwear and socks are strongly recommended due to likely sand and wet conditions.
