Takeley 10K 2026
The Takeley 10k race is an off-road countryside race down the Flitch Way. The event is well organised with a measured route and kilometre markers.
All 10k runners are chipped and all runners who complete the 10k will receive a finisher's T-shirt as well as a medal.
The aim of the 10k race is to raise funds towards the redevelopment of the Village Hall and Sports & Social Club in Takeley.
EVENT INFORMATION
10k Race
Start Time is 11am. Minimum age for 10k entry is 16 years old on the day of the race. Unfortunately we are unable to accept wheelchair entries due to the off-road terrain.
Children and Family Fun Run
Start Time is 1pm (after final 10k finisher), There's no need to book in advance for this, just turn up and enter on the day. Minimum £2 donation which will go towards our fundraising efforts.

- 1st Male over 65, 1st Female over 60
- 1st Male over 70, 1st Female over 65
1st, 2nd and 3rd overall winners will only receive one award in that class and are not eligible for any other category.
OTHER INFORMATION
- Full changing area and secure bag storage
- Toilets in Village Hall and Social Club
- Full refreshments, bar and BBQ (weather permitting)
- Technical T-shirt to all finishers - please confirm your size during the entry process (S, M, L, XL)

ENTRY FEES
Entries are £20 for the 10K and minimum £2 donation for 1 Mile Fun Run.
This is a charitable fundraising event for registered charity, Takeley Silver Jubilee Hall. As such, unfortunately we are unable to issue any refunds if you are unable to run. If you can find a friend or family member to take your place, you can transfer your place by following the instructions in your confirmation email.
RACE ROUTE
The 10k distance has been measured as accurately as possible with GPS technology and is overall slightly undulating. It is mostly on the Flitch Way and on grass paths and bridleways. There is also about 0.7 kilometre of road which leads to the finish line.
WATER STATIONS
There will be water stations at about 2.5k and 7.5k. First Aid will be provided with support at Race HQ and on the course.
FINISH LINE
The finish is at the Silver Jubilee Hall where you will receive your Takeley 10k finisher's T-shirt and medal.
RISK ASSESSMENT
The Risk Assessment will be available for review on the main notice board on the day of the race.
