Tad Tri - A Classic Sprint Triathlon
Start your triathlon season in Tadcaster with this popular early season sprint! Traditionally held on the first Bank Holiday Monday in May, and now in its 17th year, this popular triathlon raises funds for Tadcaster Community Pool. It's a great start to the season and a perfect introduction to triathlon for novice racers as well as more experienced triathletes.
WHEN? 09:30 MONDAY 3rd May 2027
WHERE? Riverside School opposite the Coors Brewery, Wetherby Road, Tadcaster LS24 9JN (No parking at race HQ)
Race Details:
- Swim: 400m pool swim in Tadcaster Community Pool.
- Bike: 13km rural route towards Boston Spa and Bramham, returning to Tadcaster.
- Run: 6km along a tarmac path by the river bank, finishing back at Riverside School.
Timetable (Provisional):
- 08:00 - Registration opens (closes 12:30).
- 08:00 - Transition opens.
- 09:30 - First Swim Wave.
- 12:30 - Last swim wave.
Competitors must be poolside 15 minutes before their start time for their race briefing.
Goodies and Prizes:
All finishers receive a Tadcaster Devine Meats pork pie (or vegan alternative), a micro towel, and a medal! Prizes for top male and female finishers, plus age group categories.
Parking:
Suggested parking at the town car park (behind Cyclesense), accessed from A659 (Chapel Street). Avoid parking on Station Road as it is on the cycle route.
