Swirral Grind 850
The Swirral Grind is an uphill only race based in Patterdale on 17 July 2026. The event starts from the King George Playing Field and is presented as a Vertical K style ascent. The course covers 6 km with 850 m of ascent and finishes near the summit trig point at approximately 950 m. The event is part of the Rab Helvellyn Sky Ultra weekend.

The final section includes easy scrambling to reach the ridge and trig point. The race features a fully marked course, a manned checkpoint, a professional Safety Officer and supporting safety team delivered by Mountain Run, and a recycled paper mache wild flower seed bomb medal for finishers.
