Swinner Swagger Trail Race
The Swinner Swagger is a 15.5km (9.6 miles) trail race held on July 4, 2026, in Muker, Yorkshire. Race HQ is at Usha Gap Campsite, a short walk from the start.
The course begins in the meadows north of Muker, heading north along the Hartlakes valley to Kisdon Force near Keld. Runners will cross a footbridge, pass Crackpot Hall, and climb Swinner Gill to a water station. The route then descends Gunnerside Gill to Ivelet village, joins the Pennine Way along the River Swale, and finishes near Rampsholme footbridge.
Terrain: Upland tracks, single track, shooting track, and a short stretch of tarmac. Trail shoes are recommended.
Mandatory Kit: Taped-seam waterproof jacket and trousers, hat or buff, gloves, emergency blanket or bivvy bag, a cup or soft flask (no disposable cups at aid stations), a minimum of 500ml water, and a fully charged mobile phone. Kit spot checks may be performed.
Aid Stations: Provide water, Active Root, sweet and savoury food, and electrolyte drinks.
