SUNRISE MARATHON | HALFMARATHON 2026
The Sunrise Marathon and Halfmarathon will take place in Modřice on Sunday, June 21, 2026. The race starts at 04:48 AM.
Pre-race information
Changes to the race distance can be made anytime up to the start of the race. After the race has begun, changes are not possible. If you wish to change your distance, please send a request to info(@)behejbrno.com. For processing, we need your name and ideally the registration ID you received during registration. Switching to a shorter distance is free.
The SUNRISE MARATHON | HALF MARATHON will start on Sunday, June 21st at 4:48 AM. Please pay close attention to the weather forecast and adjust your hydration and clothing accordingly. The start is expected to be a pleasant 14 – 16 degrees Celsius, but it will warm up gradually. A large part of the race course will be in the shade.
Course Marking:
At every important point, our organizers will be there to help you orient yourself on the course. The first two kilometers and then every 5 km of the marathon course will be marked with directional signs. The half marathon is not marked by individual kilometers, but you will be helped by passing through the finish area at 0.9 km, 4.7 km, and the finish is at 21.095 km.
Luggage Storage:
We recommend leaving your belongings (except valuables) in your car. Supervised luggage storage will be available and will operate until 10:00 AM at the latest; after that, the organizer is not responsible for stored items.
Transport to the Start:
A special bus line N94 departs at 3:00 AM as part of the regular night service from the Main Station (connecting to all night lines). We have an agreement with the public transport company that it will continue from the final stop in Modřice to the start area. It will arrive there around 3:40 AM. You will have enough time to warm up and take care of any registration and start number pickup. Tickets can be paid for with the driver or by credit card on the terminal in the bus. You must choose a 3-zone ticket type! You need to tell the driver that you are going to the Olympia center. Taxis from the center of Brno cost approximately 350 – 400 CZK and the journey takes about 15 minutes. If you are parking your own car, use the parking lots with plenty of free spaces in close proximity to the start and finish.
Refreshment Stations:
There will be two refreshment stations on the course. One in the finish area and one before the turn-around point near the Chrlický biotop. In the finish area, water, isotonic drink, Coca Cola, bananas, oranges, raisins, and salt will be available. At the turn-around point in Chrlicích, water and isotonic drink will be available. Water and isotonic drinks will be prepared in cups. In case of very warm weather, we will expand the water supply to 0.5 l PET bottles at the turn-around point in Holáskách. There will be enough fluids! For your own refreshments, a designated area will be available at the refreshment station in the start and finish area. After finishing, there will be plenty of drinks, as well as cakes and fruit to replenish energy.
