Strathearn Marathon
A Scenic Summer Marathon in beautiful Perthshire!
The 2026 race will take place on Sunday 14th June and online entry through Entry Central is now open!
A challenging route with 500 metres of ascent, through beautiful Perthshire scenery on the quiet roads of Strathearn, starting and finishing at Cultybraggan Camp near Comrie. Organised and managed by club runners and volunteers, the Strathearn Marathon has become well known for its friendly atmosphere. The event offers chip timing, water stations and full medical cover, an officially measured course (qualifying race for the London Marathon), a wide range of prizes, food, refreshments, a unique memento for all finishers, and convenient, free carparking.
The route starts with a lap of the camp, then heads south west up Glen Artney before turning east and south on the B827 towards Braco, reaching nearly 800ft. After the 10-mile mark, the route briefly joins the A822 north before continuing on old Roman roads and quiet back roads into the southern edges of Crieff. At 18.5 miles, the route turns west along the South Crieff Road to Comrie before returning to Cultybraggan.
The Strathearn Marathon is organised by Strathearn Harriers with assistance from the Comrie Development Trust.
