Stonehaven Half Marathon

The Stonehaven Half Marathon is a Scottish Athletics approved event run over a route made up of local roads and some forest tracks. The event is not a closed road race.
- Runners must be over 17 years old on race day.
- The course is unsuitable for wheelchairs.
- Running with buggies or pets is not permitted.
- No "on the day" entries are permitted.
Entry deadline: Online entry by midnight Friday 3rd July 2026.
Race cut off time: 1:00 pm (3 hours to finish).
Limited changing facilities and showers are available at the McRobert Pavilion.
The event supports Archie at the Neo Natal Unit, with an option to donate during sign-up.
Registration: 8:30 am to 9:45 am on race day at The McRobert Pavilion, Mineralwell Park, Stonehaven AB39 3PY. Race numbers and timing chips will be issued here.
Parking: Free parking at the nearby Stonehaven Leisure Centre or within Stonehaven town (1km walk from start).
Number transfer: Numbers may be transferred to another runner until close of business Wednesday 1st July 2026. Contact the race organiser through entry central.
Refunds: No refunds will be given unless the race is cancelled.
Course: Hilly and run over scenic and undulating roads and forest tracks in and around Stonehaven. There will be four water stops on the route.
Safety: The race takes place partly on roads that remain open to traffic. Runners are responsible for their own and others' safety, must remain aware of other road users, and must clearly hear instructions from marshals. The use of headphones is not permitted. Runners will be disqualified if they breach these rules.
Kit: No mandatory kit requirements. Come prepared for the expected weather conditions.
Finish: Refreshments and showers will be available to all runners.
Prizes: Awarded to winners of various categories soon after the race.
1K Fun Run
Held at the park soon after the main race starts. Open to any age, free to enter, no registration required. A medal for every finisher.
