Stanza Stones Winter Edition
This is a 24-hour, 51-mile linear route with over 6600 ft of ascent, taking place on Saturday 28th November 2026. The route starts at Marsden in West Yorkshire and finishes in Ilkley, crossing moorland of the South Pennines and visiting the historical village of Haworth before ascending Ilkley Moor. Participants visit six Stanza Stones along the course; each stone is inscribed with a poem and the stones share a water theme. The six stone names are Snow, Rain, Mist, Dew, Puddle and Beck.
The event includes live tracking supplied by Open Tracking, six checkpoints with three indoors offering food and drink, professional medical and rescue support, a finishers meal and a finishers memento. There are changing rooms and hot showers available at the finish, and entrants may register at either end of the route. The minimum age to enter is 20 years.
