We will meet at Washington-Liberty High School track for a total of eight practices: four track-based workouts and four low-intensity group neighborhood runs. All kids who finish the program will receive a medal.
Schedule:
Thursdays from 5:30-6:15 PM on the following dates:
- April 10th, 24th
- May 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th
- June 5th
Note: there will be no practice on April 17th due to spring break.
Kids ages 10 & over may run without a parent/guardian, but they must stick with at least one adult for neighborhood routes. The pace for group runs will be a relaxed conversation pace, and kids can expect some sprinting and/or strides during track workouts. Parents can join for free, running at their own risk.
Track work may include: proper warm-up techniques, basic strength moves, running drills, sprint repeats, endurance laps, and practice races. Parents are encouraged to join both track work and group runs!
