The SORIANO OUTDOOR is a day dedicated to sport, nature, and families. It's an event that unites athletes, children, and curious individuals in an outdoor experience, in the heart of one of our most precious places: the ancient Beech Forest of Monte Cimino, a UNESCO Heritage site.
The highlight is the SALIFAGGETA, a competitive road running race of 8.5 km with a positive elevation gain of 500 meters, set within a unique natural context. But SORIANO OUTDOOR is more than just a race: it's about discovery, sharing, and respect for the environment.
Afternoon Activities: SALIFAGGETA Race
In the afternoon, the focus shifts to sports with the SALIFAGGETA: the historic competitive road running race of 8.5 km with 500 meters of positive elevation gain. The start is scheduled for 6:00 PM from the main square of Soriano nel Cimino, Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II. After the race, athletes will return to the town (starting point) via a free shuttle service, to conclude the day together with a grand final celebration with good food and music.
Morning Activities: Nature and Family
From 10:00 AM, the morning of SORIANO OUTDOOR is designed for slowing down, breathing, and experiencing nature together. It’s an immersive experience in the ancient Beech Forest of Monte Cimino, a UNESCO Heritage site, dedicated to families, children, adults, and anyone who wants to rediscover authentic contact with the environment.
- Guided walk in the beech forest: Discover the flora and fauna of Monte Cimino, with ancient trees, unique biodiversity, precious silences, and stories that help to read the forest with new eyes.
- Wooden games for children: In the square in front of the beech forest, a free and safe space with simple, natural, and quiet wooden games designed to stimulate imagination, movement, and social interaction.
- Nature readings for children: Stories, tales, and moments of listening under the shade of the beech trees. An activity designed to bring children closer to nature through imagination and narration.
- Yoga in Nature: Yoga sessions immersed in the woods, open to adults, with or without children. A moment of shared well-being, among trees, filtered light, and the scent of the earth. Everyone at their own pace, without pressure.
- Faggeta Gravity Park | e-bike experience: For adventure lovers, the opportunity to experience the Faggeta Gravity Park with dedicated e-bike trails, to experience the territory in a dynamic and sustainable way.
- Free shuttle service: To make the experience accessible to everyone, a free shuttle service is provided from the town to the Beech Forest area.
