Sokolský běh republiky – Vémyslice
The Sokolský běh republiky – Vémyslice will take place in Vémyslice on Wednesday, 28 October 2026. This event is a run for fun, focusing on participation rather than timed competition. Each participant will receive a starter pack with a bib and gifts from organizers and partners, and a medal shaped like the Czech Republic will be awarded at the finish line.
Main Course
Adults: 5.6 km
The route starts at the Sokolovna (sports hall) next to the primary school, descends towards the river, crosses it, and passes the local swimming pool. It continues towards Kuchyňkův mlýn, then up a hill before turning right towards Rybníky and following a field path above the river. The course leads back down to the Rokytná river and finishes back at the Sokolovna. The terrain includes gravel, forest, and field paths.
Children's Courses
- 1000 m (born 2012 - 2015): Starts at the Sokolovna, goes around the school, and heads towards the playground before returning to the Sokolovna. The route consists of asphalt, gravel, and pavement, with 2 laps.
- 500 m (born 2016 - 2020): Similar start and general path as the 1000m course, with asphalt, gravel, and pavement.
- 170 m (born 2021 and younger): A single lap run within the multi-purpose playground.
Accompanying Program
There will be an accompanying program with sports games for children, regardless of whether they participate in the run.
Facilities for Runners
Men's and women's restrooms are available inside the Sokolovna. Refreshments will be provided at the finish line for all participants, along with bag storage.
Parking
Parking is available along the Sokolovna and the local school.

- 12:30: Start of children's race (2021 and younger)
- 12:45: Start of children's race (2012 - 2015)
- 13:15: Start of children's race (2016 - 2020)
- 13:45: Joint warm-up for the main race
- 14:00: Start of the main race
- 15:00: Award ceremony for all races
