Sokolský běh republiky – Sruby
The Sokolský běh republiky in Sruby is a running event that takes place on Wednesday, October 28, 2026. While the main race is not timed with chip timing, participants will still receive an official time and be part of the awards ceremony. Every participant will receive a start package with a bib number and gifts from organizers and partners. A special medal shaped like the Czech Republic awaits finishers.
Main Race (Adults)
Distance: 6.3 km
The start line is at the Sokolovna in Sruby. The route heads towards the church and into the Sruby forest, featuring an elevation gain of 113 meters. Runners will turn left towards the partisan monument, pass the Devil's Oak, turn right towards Darebnice, and then head back towards Sruby, finishing at the Sokolovna grounds. The course is marked with boundary tapes and directional signs. The terrain includes paved surfaces, with the start and end sections on the road.
Children's Races
- 1.1 km (Birth Years 2012 - 2015): Starts at the Sokolovna, runs towards the cemetery (left), around the small pond, and back to the Sokolovna. The surface is asphalt.
- 1.1 km (Birth Years 2016 - 2020): Similar route to the above, starting at the Sokolovna, going towards the cemetery, around the pond, and back. The surface is asphalt.
- 200 m (Birth Years 2021 and younger): Starts at the Sokolovna, runs towards the monument, turns around a cone, and returns to the Sokolovna. This route is on an asphalt road and can be run with parental accompaniment.
Safety measures, including cones to mark running paths on roads and assistance for crossing roads, will be in place for the children's races.
Supporting Program
Sports stations for children will be set up on the playground (or in the gym, depending on the weather). Parents are responsible for their children.
Facilities for Runners
Changing rooms with showers are available in the complex. Luggage storage is possible upon request. Restrooms (men's, women's, and accessible) are inside the Sokolovna. Refreshments can be purchased at the Sokol Club.
Parking
Parking is available in the public parking lot next to the Sokolovna. Bicycle racks are also available on site.

- 10:45: Start of children's races (2012-2015 & 2016-2020)
- 11:15: Start of children's race (2021 and younger)
- 12:00: Awards ceremony for children's races
- 12:00 - 13:30: Bib pickup for the main race
- 14:00: Start of the main race
