Sokolský běh republiky v Novém Bydžově
The Sokolský běh republiky in Nový Bydžov will take place on Wednesday, October 28, 2026. This event includes a main race and children's races.
Main Race (4.8 km)
The main race is 4.8 km long. The course starts with 400 meters in the city, followed by 2000 meters on a field path leading to the village of Humburky. Runners then return via the same route. The race is conducted with regular traffic and is marked. Volunteers will be present at intersections to manage traffic. In Humburky, participants must use the sidewalk. The route includes running alongside the river Cidlinou, crossing it by two bridges, and features a challenging climb in Humburky. The surface is 30% asphalt and 70% field path. This distance and difficulty are suitable for all categories of runners.
Children's Races
- 370 m: For children born between 2018 - 2020. The race involves 2 laps on the athletic track and a finish towards the 'sokolovna'. Times are not officially measured for these races.
- 240 m: For children born in 2021 and younger. The race involves 1 lap on the athletic track and a finish towards the 'sokolovna'. Times are not officially measured for these races.
Participant Information
Participants will receive a starting package with a bib and gifts from organizers and partners. A medal will be awarded at the finish line. Early online registration is recommended as on-site packages may be limited. In case of bad weather, package pickup and registration will be in the 'sokolovna' lobby; otherwise, it will be outdoors near the clay court.

- 14:55: Award ceremony for the main race

Facilities
Changing rooms with showers are available. Valuables can be stored near the refreshment area. Toilets are inside the 'sokolovna'. Refreshments will be provided at the finish line.
Parking
Parking is available at Penny market (approx. 200 meters away) or Lidl (50 meters away). Parking on U Sokolovny street is prohibited due to the race.
