Sokolský běh republiky – Dobříš
The Sokolský běh republiky race in Dobříš will take place on Wednesday, October 28, 2026. This event is a race, and while times may not be officially measured, you will still receive your result and be part of the award ceremony. Each participant will receive a starting package with a bib number and gifts from organizers and partners. A medal shaped like the Czech Republic awaits everyone at the finish line.
This race is designed for runners of all ages and offers a unique opportunity to enjoy a run in the beautiful English Park in Dobříš. The flat terrain makes it ideal for both beginners and advanced runners. Children's races with distances will be divided by age categories starting from 4 years old.
Main Course
Adults 8 km: The main race course starts and finishes at the entrance to the English Park, primarily on flat, paved forest paths with short sections around sports facilities. Runners will complete 4 laps of the park, covering a total elevation of 26 meters. This course is suitable for various performance levels. The race can also be run as a 4 x 2 km relay.
Juniors 4 km (born 2008-2010): The junior race for older children starts at the entrance to the English Park and follows paved paths through the park.
Children's Courses
- 1 km (born 2012-2014): For older children, starting at the park entrance, following paved paths.
- 800 m (born 2015-2017): For younger children, starting at the park entrance, following paved paths.
- 300 m (born 2018-2022): For very young children, starting on a meadow in the park, following paved paths.
- 200 m (born 2019-2021): For the youngest children, starting on a meadow in the park, following paved paths.
Accompanying Program
There will be an accompanying program for children, regardless of whether they participate in the race. Activities include floorball shooting and athletic disciplines (program subject to change).
Facilities for Runners
Mobile toilets will be available at the venue. Refreshments will be provided at the finish line for all participants. Valuables or backpacks can be stored with the organizers.
Parking and Transport
Free parking is available in front of the English Park. Public transport by bus to Dobříš square, then a 1 km walk to the park.
