About the Race
The Sokolský běh republiky in České Budějovice will take place on Wednesday, 28 October 2026. This event uses professional timing for the main race, with awards for the fastest runners. All participants will receive a starter pack with a race number and gifts from organizers and partners. A medal shaped like the Czech Republic awaits finishers.
Main Routes
Adults 5 km: The start and finish are at the T. J. Sokol České Budějovice athletic stadium. The route goes around the swimming pool, across bridges over the Vltava River, near Kaufland, towards the Bagr water body in Stromovka, and back along the Vltava River, passing the winter stadium before returning to the stadium. Most of the course is on asphalt.
Children's Routes
- 1 km: For children born 2012-2015. Starts and finishes at the stadium. Involves one lap on the tartan track, a portion on the parking lot and access road (asphalt), guided by a person on a bicycle.
- 600 m: For children born 2016-2020. Starts and finishes at the stadium, with a route on the parking lot. Surface: tartan and asphalt.
- 100 m: For children born 2021 and younger. The route is on the stadium's tartan track.
Runner Facilities
Changing rooms and toilets are available at the stadium.
Parking and Transport
Paid parking is available at the parking lot near Sokolovna.
